The School of Medicine – University of Crete, announces that applications for the 2026-2027 academic year for the Postgraduate Programme in “Forensic Medicine, Anthropology and Imaging” are now open!


This unique Programme combines the fields of forensic medicine, forensic anthropology and forensic imaging using a multidisciplinary approach. Students will be offered basic knowledge in musculoskeletal and cross-sectional CT anatomy, will be introduced to the discipline of Forensic Medicine in terms of scope, methodology and legal framework, and will be given the opportunity to specialize in the areas of Forensic Anthropology or Forensic Imaging.
The Programme leads to a Master of Science (MSc) degree in “Forensic Medicine, Anthropology and Imaging” consisting of two semesters of taught modules and a third semester solely focusing on the completion of an MSc research-based dissertation.

The Programme is addressed to graduates with officially recognized undergraduate degrees in areas such as Medicine, Biology, Anatomy, Anthropology, Archaeology, Dentistry, Police Academy, Law and other relevant subjects. Previous knowledge of anatomy, although welcomed, is not a prerequisite for entering the Programme.

Specialization in Forensic Anthropology or Forensic Imaging.
