The University of Crete, within the framework of the European project TALOS-AI4SSH (HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-ERA TALENTS-01), is launching the Summer School “TALOS – Artificial Intelligence for the Social Sciences and Humanities 2025”, to be held 3–9 September 2025 at the Gallos Campus in Rethymno. A group of 25 secondary school students (22 girls and 3 boys) will take part in an intensive program of lectures, workshops, and creative group activities designed to introduce them to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in education, cultural heritage, digital humanities, and the arts, while also encouraging the participation of girls in technology.
The Summer School will conclude with a public event on 10 September 2025 at 18:30 at FPK Xenia, featuring student project presentations and the awarding of certificates. Participation is free of charge, as all costs are fully covered by the TALOS project, directed by Professor Christophe Roche, ERA Chair in the Department of Philology at the University of Crete.
