This September, the Edu4Climate Autumn School is turning the coastal city of Agios Nikolaos, Crete, into a living laboratory for the next generation of climate scientists.
Scheduled for September 14–18, 2026, the program Atmospheric Science and Modelling offers a rare, intensive deep dive into the data and digital tools shaping our understanding of the Earth’s changing climate.
Who Should Apply
This course is tailored for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in atmospheric and Earth system sciences who are ready to move beyond theory. Whether you’re mastering model outputs or wrestling with remote sensing data, this is your classroom.
What You’ll Experience
- Theoretical training from leading researchers.
- A field visit to the renowned Finokalia monitoring station, a key site for atmospheric research in the Mediterranean.
- Hands-on computer work in data processing and numerical modeling.
- Collaborative learning: You’ll work in small groups of 4–5 trainees, each guided by two Faculty/Researchers.
- Your chance to present: Short participant presentations will cap off the week.
