The “Hackathon for Health and Wellness, Crete 2024” was the subject of a successful informational event held at the “Kastellaki” hall of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce on March 4, 2024. This hackathon is scheduled to take place on April 20 and 21, 2024, simultaneously in Heraklion and Athens.

The University of Crete actively participated in this event, both as a direct and indirect representative, through the European Digital Innovation Hubs smartHEALTH and digiGOV, which are co-organizers of the competition.

A series of collaborative meetings took place between representatives of the University of Crete, Science and Technology Park of Crete(STEP-C), the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH), and the Region of Crete. In these meetings, the objectives, themes, participation rules, and prizes of the competition were determined, while organizational issues were also discussed and settled. Representatives from the University included Mr. Savvidis and Mr. Tsatsakis for the smartHEALTH hub, as well as Mr. Manasakis and Mr. Frangiadakis for the digiGOV hub.
