Critical Media Literacy Approaches

The S.HI.E.L.D. vs Disinformation project is pleased to announce the International Conference “Revisiting Disinformation: Critical Media Literacy Approaches,” which will take place at the University Campus of Gallos, Rethymno, Crete, Greece, on Friday, June 27, 2025, and Saturday, June 28, 2025.

This two-day event will bring together scholars, researchers, educators, professionals and students, to explore the phenomenon of disinformation and its impacts through the lens of critical media literacy. The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and presentations on current research, fostering dialogue and collaboration on this critical issue.

A detailed agenda for the Conference will be available shortly on this page.

We invite paper submissions that engage with the topic of disinformation and its multifaceted implications. The Call for Papers will be open until March 10, 2025. Authors will be notified of the status of their submissions by April 10, 2025.
