Description
During the lecture, presenters from MIT Open Learning will:
- present current MIT research approaches to the use of Artificial Intelligence in qualitative methodologies (thematic analysis, grounded theory, discourse analysis, and narrative analysis),
- highlight ways in which AI-assisted tools can support coding, content analysis, and comparative analysis while maintaining academic rigor,
- discuss ethical issues related to the use of AI in the collection and analysis of qualitative data.
Target Audience
The event is addressed to students and researchers of the University of Crete from all academic disciplines.

At the end of the lecture, free online MIT courses on qualitative research (MIT Learn) will be presented, along with Artificial Intelligence tools designed to support qualitative data analysis.
