As part of the practical training of the Postgraduate Studies Program in Art History at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete, the UoC Library in Heraklion, hosts an exhibition titled ‘Memento Mori: Representations of Death in European Art (15th – 17th century)’. Its goal is to present aspects of the iconography of death, a theme that experienced significant development in the West during the early modern period.
