The University of Crete proudly participated in the EAIE (European Association for International Education) Conference and Exhibition held in Toulouse, France, from September 17th to 20th, 2024. This prestigious event brought together higher education professionals from around the world, and the University of Crete was honored to be part of the Greek delegation, showcasing the excellence of Greek higher education.
In attendance was Mr. Nikolaos Papaioannou, Secretary-General for Higher Education, representing the Greek Ministry of Education and demonstrating Greece’s commitment to promoting international academic cooperation. Alongside Mr. Papaioannou, representatives from 12 prestigious Greek universities and Study in Greece were present, highlighting Greece as a top study destination.
Representing the University of Crete were Professor Maria Vamvakaki, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, and Research Policy, along with Evgenia Skountaki, Head of the Welcome Office. Their participation aimed to foster international partnerships, promote collaboration, and highlight the unique opportunities offered by the University of Crete to students and researchers worldwide.
The University of Crete is excited to continue building bridges with institutions across the globe, opening doors to international education, and sharing the rich academic and cultural heritage that Greece and the University of Crete have to offer.
