The University of Crete welcomed a delegation from Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT), China, on 27 August 2026 at its Rethymno Campus. The visit focused on the exchange of academic and educational perspectives, dialogue between Greece and China, and the exploration of opportunities for future cooperation. The meeting was organised with the support of the University of Crete Welcome Office.

During the visit, both universities presented their academic and international profiles and exchanged perspectives on Artificial Intelligence and Higher Education, emerging technologies in education, intercultural dialogue, and potential areas for future academic cooperation.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences and marked another step towards strengthening academic ties between Greece and China.
