On Monday, October 12, Professor Christos Tsatsanis, Director of the International Program in Medicine, represented the University of Crete in Ljubljana as part of a Study in Greece (SiG) delegation promoting Greek universities to Slovenian students.

The delegation was led by SiG Director-General Dr. Theodoros Papaioannou and joined by Prof. Dimitrios Bourantonis, Secretary General for Higher Education at the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, as well as representatives of the Athens University of Economics and Business, the International Hellenic University, and the University of Western Macedonia.

The day began at the St. Stanislav Institution, where Prof. Tsatsanis introduced the University of Crete and its undergraduate opportunities to high school students. At the Greek Ambassador’s Residence, Greek and Slovenian universities then explored education and research partnerships in key fields, with Medicine & Health Sciences among the top priorities. The program closed at the Rog Cultural Center with presentations on international Master’s programs in Greece.

The visit was organized by the Embassy of Greece in Slovenia and marks the start of a new collaboration to promote Greece as a study destination.

We warmly thank Study in Greece, Ambassador Athanasios Kotsionis, and the Embassy team!
