The Centre for Training and Lifelong Learning (K.E.DI.VI.M) of the University of Crete organizes course with title: «Python and Machine Learning»

Within the framework of the Center for Training and Lifelong Learning of the University of Crete, an 8-month online seminar is offered to Science and Engineering graduates, who seek to enhance their skills in contemporary technologies (Python Programming, Data Processing, Machine Learning). The official language of the seminar is English. The programme will be implemented by synchronous  & asynchronous distance learning.

Purpose

This program provides an educational introduction to Machine Learning, starting from the basic prerequisite knowledge.  The main goal of the program is to equip the learner with a solid foundation and a strong toolset for their professional development. The first part of the program includes acquiring basic skills such as computer programming and data preprocessing. The tools used to build these skills is Python and its scientific ecosystem. Additionally, a solid mathematical background is also essential as it forms the basis for all Machine Learning Algorithms. In the second part of the program, the trainees become familiar with two fundamental axes of the field: Supervised Learning and Unsupervised Learning. The course contains heavily interactive online lab sessions, as well as regular programming assignments.
