Information Event for the “Hackathon for Health and Wellness Crete 2024”

The competition is co-organized by the Region of Crete / Observatory for Innovative Entrepreneurship, the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH) / Science and Technology Park of Crete, the University of Crete, the Incubator/Accelerator for Start-ups Athens (Th.E.A.) of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the European Digital Innovation Hub for Smart Health: Precision Medicine and Innovative e-Health Services (smartHEALTH), the European Innovation Hub for Digital Governance (GR digiGOV-innoHUB) and is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Digital Governance, and the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation.

The competition is a significant initiative for the development of innovative applications to improve processes and services in the Public Sector and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), in activities related to the specialization area of “Health and Wellness” under the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Region of Crete.

In the “Hackathon for Health and Wellness Crete 2024,” SMEs, start-ups, public servants, research, and student teams are encouraged to participate. The goal is for them to join forces to address critical issues of health and wellness, which are the focus of the predefined challenges. Participants will develop their proposals, leveraging their skills and expertise to implement innovative and technologically advanced solutions.

At the Information Event, the following will be presented:

  • The objectives and themes of the Hackathon
  • The program and rules of participation
  • The awards and financial rewards
  • Networking and collaboration opportunities

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the organizers.
