The University of Crete is delighted to announce the launch of its Chinese language classes, which officially began on Monday, 10 November, across both campuses.

At Voutes Campus, participants started lessons with Ms. Ding Yanyu, while at the Rethymno Campus classes are taught by Ms. Gao Ying. Both instructors are seconded by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, bringing first-hand linguistic expertise and cultural insight to the University.

This initiative marks a significant step in the University’s internationalization efforts, fostering cross-cultural understanding and academic cooperation between Greece and China.

The courses, offered free of charge to University of Crete students, staff, and citizens, will run until the end of the current academic year and will continue for the next two years, further strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two countries.
