The University of Crete successfully concluded the 2026 Summer School on the Management of Drug-Resistant Epilepsy (DRE), held from 16 to 19 June 2026 in a hybrid format, welcoming participants both in person and online.

Organized in collaboration with academic institutions across the United States and Europe, the Summer School offered a comprehensive overview of the management of drug-resistant epilepsy, covering modern pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, neuromodulation, epilepsy surgery, and the care of special patient populations.

We had the honor of hosting, both physically and virtually, faculty members from 11 academic institutions on both sides of the Atlantic, together with more than 50 registered participants—including students, residents, attending physicians, nurses, and EEG technologists—from four continents.

The positive feedback received from participants reflects the success of the program and the value of this international educational collaboration.

We sincerely thank all faculty members, participants, and collaborating institutions for making this Summer School a great success.

The Welcome Office of the University of Crete was responsible for the administrative support of the program.
